Our 20-month Commercial and Procurement Graduate scheme allows you to explore how we deliver economic, efficient, and effective commercial solutions to Britain’s railways. Through rotational placements across our teams, you’ll work on important projects, learning about the end-to-end procurement process whilst playing an active role.

Finance Graduate Scheme

Spend 2 years on our Finance Graduate scheme and learn all about periodic management accounting activities including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting. Through independent working, you’ll learn how to excel in high pressured environments and learn all about the processes our Finance teams work with to keep our business going.

Operations Management Graduate Scheme

During our 18-month Operations Management Graduate Scheme, you’ll learn all about what is takes to delivery the operational railway we know today, including stations, signalling, control and incident response. Explore our relationships with train and freight companies, the British Transport Police and the emergency services to understand what goes into delivering a good experience.

Property Graduate Scheme

Our 3-year Property Graduate scheme offers the opportunity to gain full membership to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors whilst experiencing areas of property you didn’t even know existed within Network Rail. Get involved in impactful projects and complete placements across a range of business areas to learn everything you need to know.

IT and Business Services Graduate Scheme

Across 2-years, our IT and Business Services Graduate Scheme will give you the chance to experience disciplines, activities and roles that run our IT department. We have new innovations being rolled out as part of our digital transformation, and you’ll be getting involved from day one, gaining the skills and insights needed to grow as a professional.

Project Management Graduate Scheme

Our 2-year Project Management Graduate scheme gives you the opportunity to work on a portfolio of meaningful projects across our business. Through internal placements, developing your understanding, and building new skills, you’ll gain exposure to our business functions and even undertake addition training and qualifications.

Network Strategy, Planning and Analysis Graduate Scheme

Our 2-year Network Strategy, Planning and Analysis Graduate scheme will see you tackling major strategic challenges the rail industry faces. Gain a rounded view of the railway network and understand how the problems we face affect the work I do. With support from experienced mentors, you’ll play an important part in finding solutions that matter.
