Apprenticeships are for everyone – not just applicants straight out of school or college. In fact, Adelaja already had a master’s degree when he started a whole new career as an apprentice at Network Rail.
"I am an apprentice working in a team of 15 people on the apprenticeship scheme. When I applied for it, I was a graduate, I had a master’s degree. I was asked ‘why the apprenticeship?’ But I see how it has helped me for the future, not just for the short term. That’s why I joined the scheme and I’m happy I made that decision when I did."
